Privacy Policy

SafeKey – 2FAuth (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is built with privacy by design. The app generates one‑time passwords (TOTP) locally on your device. Secrets never leave your phone unless you explicitly export or back them up using your preferred method. We do not collect analytics that identify you, and we do not sell or share data with third parties.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

  1. No account creation is required.
  2. No personal identifiers (name, email, IP) are collected by the app.
  3. No token secrets or codes are transmitted to our servers—we do not have servers processing your data.

2. Optional Data You Choose to Share

If you contact us for support, we will receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use this solely to respond to your request and then delete it when no longer needed.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

Payments and subscriptions (including trials, renewals, and cancellations) are processed by Apple. We receive non‑personal, aggregated information for operational purposes (e.g., whether a purchase succeeded). We do not have access to your full payment details.

4. Device Processing & Security

  1. Secrets are stored on your device’s secure storage where available.
  2. Biometrics/Passcode can be used to add an additional layer of protection (if enabled on your device).
  3. Backups and exports are under your control—encrypt them and store them securely.

5. Children’s Privacy

SafeKey is not intended for children under the age permitted by local law to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or maintain user profiles, many formal data rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply. If you contact us, we will assist with any privacy questions to the extent applicable.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page.
